Job Title - Lead Inventory Arborist (Supervisor)
DAVEY RESOURCE GROUP, a Division of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, is seeking a Lead Inventory Arborist to supervise a major municipal project in Los Angeles, County. Davey is a leader in tree care, utility vegetation management and urban forestry consulting throughout the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will be a leader in our developing environmental consulting program for the Southern California region.
3/23/2020 - This position provides an essential service indentifying trees which are hazardous to critical infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
The Lead Inventory Arborist supervises a team of technicians responsible for performing tree inventory and tree risk assessments. As a supervisor, the arborist is accountable for daily staffing and production to meet the clients' urban forestry program goals. This requires maintaining training and quality control processes for a distributed team of arborists across Los Angeles County. The Lead Inventory Arborist will frequently communicate on behalf of the team with clients, members of the public, local government officials, and Davey managers.
What We're Looking For:
The successful applicant has experience using and training others on Davey TreeKeeper, Rover, iTree Eco or similar. This experience is gained through 2-5 years of tree inventory experience, a related natural resources degree, certification, or equivalent combination. Demonstrating prior leadership and project supervision through work experience is required. A passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions and traveling locally is mandatory. Knowledge of Southern California tree species is highly valuable.
